Fun but very busy weekend!

So this holiday weekend was very busy but at the same time it was lots and lots of fun! To start off we had a great Thanksgiving, this year we were able to enjoy it with both sides my Grandpa and Grandma Barker were able to come with our Jones side and spend the day so we got the best of both families. Our family was in charge this year and I have to say my Mom and Dad did the bulk of it! Everything turned out great and all the food was delicious! We also were able to have a "Missionary Shower" for my cuz Jed and my bro Jord they are both going on missions here soon so we wanted to get them a couple things. It turned out great and they got a lot of things to help prepare them just a little bit more! I'm so proud of these boys for choosing to serve the Lord! We will miss them greatly but know they'll be the best missionaries out there and know they are doing the right thing! We love you guys lots... Noah and I ended up closing the night off with a visit to the Cardon side to see everyone and eat some yummy Pie! I really am so blessed I have such a wonderful family between my side and Kevin's side which I will always call them family! I love them all so much and am so thankful to be a part of their family!

On Saturday I was able to have the opportunity to go down to the Oquirh Mountain Temple with my mom, Jess, Kip and Grandma and Grandpa Barker! (Jer and Amber we missed you guys) It is a small temple but very beautiful! It was such a neat experience and spirit there was really strong! Next month I think were planning to go to the Draper Temple and I'm really excited about that! I love seeing all the beautiful temples and every time I see a new one I'm in awe and am really amazed at how different and gorgeous they all are! I feel so blessed to have so many temples near me and am able to attend so often! It's truly a blessing in my life! Plus it's tradition that after we go to the temple we go out to eat and Grandpa and Grandpa pay! This time we went to Applebees, and it was really YUMMY!

On Friday I was really tempted to go out shopping but held back. Maybe I'll get the courage to go next year! =) I also did a couple things for work but really just ended up spending a relaxing day with Noah! I really enjoyed it... he is at such a fun stage! That night Noah and I went shopping with Heather and Jake and it was lots of fun... The crowd wasn't so bad and we ended up running into Papa Wade and Grandma Lisa which the boys loved and we got great deals! Jake and Noah are getting at the age where they are watching each other’s every move and copycatting each other in a second! They are both so cute and I hope they will remain really close through the years!

Saturday Night Mikey was up here visiting Blake and we were able to steal him away for the night and take Mikey out to dinner! I love this kid so much and I'm really sad we don't get to see him that much anymore! I hope to change that in the future and really make a point to see him more often! He really can just make you laugh and have a good time! We love you Mikey!

And last but not least we were able to go to my Cousin Jed's farewell! He did such a good job on his talk and I know Jed you'll be such a good missionary! Baltimore watch out because Jed is going to be great! (As long as he follows Jason's advice about the girlfriends and the mission) Ha Ha. As long as you stay dedicated and work really hard and the Lord will direct you! We love you lots... Of course we couldn't end our Sunday off without a visit to our grandparents! So we were able to enjoy their wonderful company like always! What a nice end to our wonderful busy weekend! =)

I really am so Thankful for all of my many blessings in my life and I do hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving Weekend!

I know this is a very long post but I told you it was a very fun and fulfilling weekend but very busy! So I have to say if you got through this GREAT JOB! =) I promise my next post won't be as long!

Good Things Utah and New Moon

My friend Kara entered a contest and won tickets to New Moon and to eat lunch with some of the crew from Good things Utah and invited me to go! We all drove down together and met Angie, Marti, Alisha and Amanda at the Gateway in the restaurant Zetajas. And let me tell you the food was so delicious! =) All of them were so sweet and so nice, not to mention way funny! Especially Angie, she really made me laugh! I would love to hang out with these guys again, they were super fun! We then went up to the Megaplex got our seats and yes watched NEW MOON! I love Love Love it....minus 2 things (Edwards body and the ending) other then that it is now my new favorite movie! (So much that I'm going tomorrow with my mom and sisters to see it again, and I really can't wait! In my defense we already had tickets) We then thanked these wonderful ladies and drove home! It was such a fun day... Kara THANK YOU so much for inviting me to go! It was so much fun...

Kara and I waiting for New Moon to start!

And of course a blog post wouldn't be much of a post without mentioning my sweet Noah so here you go! My mom gave Noah a late nap which I was so thankful for because by the time I picked him it was about his bedtime but he was still going! So we came home and I was able to play with him for awhile, which of course I was so excited about being since I didn’t get to see him all day. Here is a picture of him eating an Egg Roll, which he loved... He is such a little funny baby it seems he won’t eat normal things such as the Rice or the chicken but he sure did love this Egg Roll, Oh I just love this kid! Thanks Mom for watching him!

Sunday Visits

Sunday's wouldn't be Sunday's without the visits with my wonderful Grandparents! I love these guys so much... Ever since I can remember we've been going there every Sunday to visit and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa! They are so kind and generous and make wonderful dinners and treats to eat while we visit. I love hearing stories about past times and their past week! So much fun! They are always so interested in our lives, and have such good advice! I used to be more faithful but the past couple of months I haven't been, and let me tell you my Sunday's haven't been complete because I've been missing these! I'm going to try to be better!

If you guys haven't met these wonderful people your missing out! These guys are truly amazing... I love you Grandma and Grandpa Jones, and Grandma and Grandpa Barker! You guys are the best... Thanks for always being there for me and Noah! We are really blessed to have you in our lives! You guys really mean a lot to Noah and I... XOXOXO

12 month check up

Today Noah had his 12 month check up! Everything went well except the fact that I almost cried when they were giving him his shots! Poor Guy... He was heartbroken and I know exactly how he feels, I hate shots! Here are some takeaways from our appointment.

- He weighs 21.4 lbs (25% range, which Dr. Gabrielsen is not worried because most babies do this in the transition from a bottle to regular food and by next apt it should be back up)
- He is 30 1/4 inches (75% range)
- Head is 28% range

Dr.Gabrielsen is seriously the best pediatrician. When he's with us it's our time and he makes it very personal. Noah is right on target for everything, which is great! So we'll be back to the Doctors in 3 months for the next appointment.
I was able to have the day off today so I spent every second of it with Noah, and I absolutely loved it! Also my friend Kara had us over for lunch and a play date with her little boy Kaleb! Thanks Kara it was lots of fun and really yummy food!
Here a couple of pics of our day...

Noah before the doctor!

Noah after the doctor and playing with Kaleb! He was so burnt out...

Noah after his nap... He was so happy!

Thank you to everyone for supporting us on this big day and to Wade and Lisa for letting us use your house! He got lot's and lot's of toys and clothes, everyone spoiled him rotten! I made both of his cakes with the help of my Mom! Thanks mom I couldn't have done it without you... It was lot's of work but well worth it and it turned out pretty good!
