Will I ever post ON TIME again??

I always say I’m going to post real time and then I never do and find myself always playing catch up. Life just gets so busy, which isn’t an excuse but man on man how do you do it!

Here are some of Noah’s birthday pictures we took and his invitation I sent out. From the pictures you can’t tell that he was being a little stinker but really he was a lot harder this year than last year… But we still managed to get some good ones. I still can't believe he's 2...

Forgotten Carols

We again went to the Forgotten Carols this year. If you haven’t gone Go to it! It is totally worth it… This year Weber State was sold out so we opted to go up to Logan, it worked out because my cousin Brittany goes to school up there and is always saying she’ll babysit Noah so I took her up on the offer. Thanks Britt! Noah had a blast and still talks about you… =) We went with my brother and sister in law, and Jess and Kip. It was lots of fun for us girls and the boys went along because it would “make us girls Happy” Really? Deep down they love it they just don’t want to admit it! Anyways it was a fun night as you can tell by Kips face… =)

Lights and Dinner

It was my grandmas birthday on Saturday and so everyone in our family went down to Temple Square to see the lights and then to eat at Siete Bello (this is seriously the best restaurant EVER). It was really cold but so much fun!! I don’t have a pic of everyone because my camera wouldn’t work when the guy was taking it, so it’s on my grandparents camera but here are some pictures from earlier that night.

There is a funny story to go with these next pictures. My little nephew Aidan (who is 6) loves to take pictures. I asked him to take ours this is the first picture he got just our legs and then he said he messed up so he took the next picture. He said it was absolutely PERFECT! So when I looked I couldn’t help but laugh because he didn’t even realize he cut off Noah’s head… I didn’t tell him, I just said “Nice Job”! He was pretty proud.

Christmas Devotional

My grandparents are missionaries at the conference center and so they had two extra tickets to the Christmas devotional this year. I snatched them up and me, Kyle, Chazel and John went down. It was lots of fun, I’ve been a couple times before and every time it is such a good reminder of what Christmas is all about. I love our Prophet and leaders of the church they always have such a good and meaningful messages and every time President Monson talks the spirit testifies to me that he is a prophet of God and this church is true. I am so thankful for this time of year, for the yummy food, the gift exchanging, Christmas cards, shopping, family time and traditions but most of all for the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I forever grateful for all he has done and continues to do for me. As I was reading the Sullengers blog the other day she posted this amazing video that is what Christmas is all about. I loved it and I hope you do too. Enjoy!

For family night the other night we decorated our Christmas tree… We had so much FUN! I remember growing up when my mom would always suggest where to put the ornaments and even sometimes without us seeing (except sometimes I would catch her) would rearrange it because we had about 10 ornaments on the same branch. As Noah was helping I found myself doing the same thing, and now understand why mom did that. =) He loved every second of the decorating, he even has his own little tree that he can redecorate in his room which he already has done numerous times. I of course have a little nativity and as I got it out and we set it up the one thing I found so cute and interesting is Noah sat for over an hour playing with the nativity, he LOVED it. I explained who everyone was and sure enough I would over hear Noah saying “baby Jesus, and mommy and daddy” He then goes through and names every animal. He was in HEAVEN! I thought that would last just that night but nope every morning the first thing is says is “Umm… mommy, I play with baby Jesus, mommy, daddy and the barn?” (really he puts Ummm in front of everything now days).

Here’s some pics from family night…

Finally Home

So Tuesday night I was talking to Jess and Kip and they informed me that there is a national weather warning for a blizzard in Utah starting at 3 PM tonight and going until 8 AM Wednesday. They told me to check it out and look into changing my flight, because my flight was originally arriving in SLC at 9 PM tonight. I was also talking to my mom and Kyle and they mentioned this as well (thank goodness for everyone looking out for me because I wouldn’t have known this if it weren’t for them). So I looked it up and found this to be true however when I called to change my flight Delta was currently just watching it and hadn’t officially put out an official warning. Because of this and the huge fee (190) I decided to hold off until morning… Long story short when I called to change flights come morning of course all of the seats were now filling up super fast because everyone wanted to get into SLC sooner rather than later because of the storm and there were no available seats except first class… =( I was not about to pay ($800) so I decided to chance it and just stick it out… But I was still really worried because I wasn’t about to spend one more day away and especially with Thanksgiving being in a couple of days, I wanted to be home. With that I decided to call one more time a couple hours later and this time they found me a flight leaving two hours earlier then my original flight and only costing ($150) so I decided to do it, as I was getting my credit card I got disconnected from the representative and when I called back magically they had one opening for an earlier flight leaving at 1:10 and the best thing is it was only ($50), so YAY! I then rushed to finish a couple things with the clients, said my goodbyes , went to my hotel, grabbed my bags, checked out and was on my way to LAX. I arrived all ready to board with an hour to spare… ( I thought it would take me longer to go through security). I was able to grab a bite to eat, work a little, shop a little. I finally was sitting in my seat writing this post FINALLY on my way HOME! In a couple short hours I was going to be holding and kissing my baby and not letting him go EVER! =)

The flight was great and we arrived 10 min early and as I looked out my window the skies seemed overcast but no HUGE storm. I was hoping we would make it home before the storm hit, my grandpa and grandma barker picked me up at the airport and as we were driving home at about Farmington the storm came and it was a disaster. We opted to not stop to get my car and go straight to my parents, and I was glad we did because the roads were horrible ( we were going only 40 mph on the freeway but I actually felt safe because my grandpa loves to drive and is an excellent driver). I finally opened the door to find my little one… The feeling to be reunited with your baby after a couple hours, a long day, an overnight or in my case 8 days is indescribable. I fought back the tears as my family was all watching me hug him and kiss him all over. Man I love that kid! We ended up staying at my parents overnight and it was lots of fun…. In the morning my grandpa and grandma Jones took us home! In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, I’m so HAPPY to be home! Noah and I hung out all day, he laid down and I worked for a couple hours.

Tonight we laid on the couch in our PJs and watched “The little Mermaid” eating pudding. It was Noah’s first time watching it and I wasn’t sure how he was going to like it but I was hoping he would because it is one of my favorites. Well sure enough he loved it!

A "Capture It, Remember It" moment:

It was the part where they sing “Kiss the girl”, as I sang along I changed the words to “kiss Noah” and leaned over and planted a big one on his cheek. I didn’t think anything of it when all of sudden the next thing I know thes little lips are kissing my cheek and it was followed by a “kiss mama”. This was a game we played for the next couple of minutes… It was the sweetest thing ever. It’s memories like these that you’ll never forget, and I couldn’t be more grateful at this time for everything in my life.

I’m so excited for these next couple of days off work and for the YUMMY food that I will be ever stuffing my face with tomorrow, the wonderful company of all of my family, relaxing with Kyle and chasing after my little Noah! How thankful I am for all that I have, I truly am blessed.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving

Tonight just hanging out...

Noah this morning wearing Uncle Jordan's hat, it's so big you can't even see his face! =)

Our life lately in a couple of paragraphs.... Enjoy!

These past few months have flown by and so much has happened in our lives. So I’m just going to give you a brief (or very long) recap of the major points in our lives.

In September we went to the State Fair with Jess, Kip and Ty. It was so much fun… We got to see this adorable little calf and Noah was able to ride the ponies.

As I’m sure most of you know in September I started dating this guy named Kyle. We got set up through my older brother Jer and his wife Amber, Jer and Kyle served in the same mission in Madrid, Spain. He is absolutely amazing, he is so cute with Noah and treats me like a queen. He is from Logan and so he’s a big Aggies fan. Which means we’ve gone to a few football games and now are starting to go to basketball. Go Aggies!

We went fishing with Papa Wade, Grandma Lisa, Heather and Jake. The boys had lots of fun and we just sat back relaxed and watched them just be boys!

Bye- Bye Blonde, bring on Brunette
Yes I have been such a Blonde for soooooo long! Not any longer, I’m now the brunette! Yay! I can’t decide which one I like better, I kind of like them both however for now I’m staying with the dark. Let me know your vote….

For mine and Kyle’s third date with Noah we went to the circus. It was so fun! The majority of my pictures are on Jess and Kips computer so I’ll have to post them later. This is Noah right before the circus he was so excited, and then we got there he was in Awe… We had VIP tickets and so the stage was right in front of us and we were even able to go on the stage and be a part of the show. It was so much fun and something we both will never forget!

My older brother Jer works for North View fire department. He also acts as one of the clowns “hydro”. Noah normally doesn’t have a problem with going to Jer but at this fire safety show he wouldn’t have any part of him. It was funny, and it was lots of fun and very informational.

My dad is the King of finding good deals and going to yard sales, DI, storage auctions etc. He found this Train set and the boys loved it and it was pretty much brand new and he only paid $20. Thanks Dad!

Noah is officially a Big Boy! Well he has been for quite some time now… At the beginning of year I set lots of New Year’s resolutions or rather goals. One of them was to have Noah potty trained before his second birthday, starting at the beginning of the summer Noah would randomly sit on the potty and occasionally tell me he needed to go. He then started telling me every time he went, so I thought what will it hurt to try the potty thing. So I read the book “potty training in less than a day” I heard so many great things about this book and it was on Amazon for seriously like 5 bucks. We went to the store and bought lots of “dollar prizes” and the next day we started. I honestly thought it would be hard but didn’t realize how time consuming it is. Every second of my day was centered around Noah and the bathroom. Long story short after 3 days he was a champ! It was so weird to me to have him potty trained but let me tell you I pretty much LOVE IT! He really has done so well and is now a Big Boy! He has lots of underwear but my favorite are definitely the little boxer briefs. They are so tiny but go clear down to his knees… Can you say CUTE!

Visiting the ranch! Need I say more… It was so much fun but not everyone could come and they were greatly missed (you know who you are)!

Mikey's birthday celebration was held at Blake's house. It was lots of FUN, even if the party consisted of Blake, Jess, Ty, Me and Noah. Mikey was there and that's all that mattered... I don't hang out with him like I used to and I miss him lots!!!!

Halloween was so much fun this year, although we had so many places to go we still had so much fun doing it. This year I decided Noah was going to be a Rock Star… the reason for this is because his favorite song to sing is “We will rock you” by Queen. Seriously this kid loves loves to sing this song and is even to the point where if I sing it wrong he says “No mommy No mommy like this or daddy says…” Honestly I now sing it wrong just to hear him correct me because it is so funny and so cute. Really every holiday is like Christmas for this kid… Halloween no exception. We went just to family and then were nice to give him very little candy and lots of other prizes… He even got a movie and a book! We were able to do pumpkin carving and dinner with my family and then carved pumpkins with Heather, Jake, Wade and Lisa. Of course Noah loved every second of it! Thanks everyone for such a fun Halloween!

As of November 1st we have moved out of Jess and Kips house. We are officially out on our OWN… I have had so many mixed emotions and still have. Jess and Kip were so kind to take us in and let us live with them for the past year. As most of you know I am Miss. Independent so moving in with Jess and Kip was really hard because I felt like I was intruding, however it was seriously one of the best decisions of my life. They have been so amazingly awesome! I always have been close to Jess but now I feel even closer and really close to Ty and Kip too. The night before we left we were sitting at home and Kip said he had something for us. It was a DVD that he had made of the memories we’ve all made over the past year. We put it in and Noah absolutely loved it and so did I, but as Noah was laughing I was in tears. I wish I could play it for everyone but I can’t because it’s a CD but it was so freakin cute! They are such a neat family and I love them so much! Thanks guys for everything you’ve done for me and Noah. You are the best and we love you tonz!

We haven’t had a chance to go to our new ward yet but I’m hoping it will be half as good as our old ward. They were so great! I don’t have pictures yet of our new apartment but I may take some soon and post them. Here are some pics of Noah the first night we were there…

Noah turned two years old on November 7th, 2010! I can’t believe that my baby is two!!!!! He is so not a baby anymore… I thought I would do a “dog theme” because he loves dogs. So I made his invitation and sent it out through Send Out Cards, which made it so easy, cheap, cute and convenient. My mom, me, Crystal and Cache went out one day to take his pictures… and let’s say it was a disaster! He wouldn’t smile for anything, finally me and my mom switched places and she got him to smile a tiny bit. All of sudden my dad shows up and Noah lights up… He loves him so much! So we did get quite a few pics… And if you ask me they turned out pretty dang cute! So we had everyone come over for cupcakes and ice cream. I made cupcakes with dog paws as the topper… However, I didn’t take any pictures before… =( so you just get the pics during! Noah is such an amazing little boy and I love him to pieces… He is such a smart little guy and every day he teaches me more and more. I feel so blessed to be his mom and am so grateful for his example.(I'll have to post his birthday pics later along with his inviation)

Some things about Noah at this stage are:

- He loves to be the center of attention
- He talks so much and in full sentences, it amazes me!
- He is potty trained
- He is hates when I call him “my baby” but loves when I call him “my handsome little boy”
- He loves to be a frog so often we are jumping around be crazy, I now call him my handsome little froggy” and he loves, loves, loves it!
- He counts to ten and can do the ABC’s
- He loves nursery rhymes and songs
- He loves to read books
- The last couple of weeks he has been on such a growing spurt and eating a ton. I love it
- He is now sleeping in a big boy bed and is doing so well

The night before his birthday Jess and Kip were over and we looked over and found Noah zonked out. It was so CUTE!

Seriously our house looked like Christmas because of the amount of presents this kid got. Thanks to everyone for coming and supporting my little guy. We love you lots!
I took Noah to the doctor for his annual checkup and everything is looking good. He now weighs 24 pounds which is about average (50%), his height is 36 inches which puts him in the (75%) and his head is about average (50%) so pretty much the doctor says he’s on the right path and wished me luck with the next year… =) he luckily didn’t have to get any shots yet because we’re probably doing a study and so he’ll get those scheduled when I’m back in Utah. I’m not really worried because Noah has always been such a good little baby and boy but I already can tell he’s testing his limits with me. He definitely still the little mischievous little boy he’s always been and I love it! This is a picture that I took waiting for the doctor with him saying CHEESE! Really, this is a face only a mom could love and trust me I love it!

My little bro Jord had surgery back in the MTC because he tore his meniscus while playing basketball. They did surgery on it and then after it healed sent him out in the mission field with some physical therapy. Well after nine months it was only getting worse so they sent him home for another surgery about a week and half ago. He had surgery this past Thursday and everything went well, we should know by the end of this week possibly they date he can go back out. I know it was so hard for him to come home because he was such a great missionary and was loving the people and serving them in Oregon. While we hated to see him come home we were glad to get to see him and hang out with him for the next couple of weeks. Most of our family (minus Jer and Amber) were able to go down to the airport and pick him up and then later on meet up with everyone for dinner. Noah was so cute… He kept saying Uncle Jordan, Knee hurt and when he saw him of course went right to him with no hesitation.

Normally it’s a tradition to go to Disney on Ice with the Cardon’s however we haven’t been for years because everyone is getting so big and the girls (Ava and Ella) haven’t been here when it’s been on. Well Meg and Chad came to visit and so Lisa bought all of us girls and the kids tickets to go. So we headed out of course to Crown Burger first and then to Disney on Ice: Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Adventures. The kids had so much fun and I actually really enjoyed it too, I love Disney movies and so it was fun to get to sing along and watch Noah’s faces. Thanks Lisa for such a FUN night!!!!

Let the basketball begin… We went to our first Aggies basketball game with Kyle a couple weeks ago. We played Weber State and so I was a little torn on who to cheer for, but I ended up obviously cheering for the Aggies. It was such a close and intense game but in the end the Aggies pulled through with a big WIN! It was such a fun night!

We had dinner Sunday night at my parents house and it was so much fun. Jordan had requested the delicious Café Rio salad/burrito. It was so Yummy! Jord was so cute with all the little nephews, he took them in his room and gave them all their own little Book of Mormons. Noah was seriously reading it like he was well aware what was going on and understanding 100%. So funny…

My Grandpa Jones was really funny Sunday night, as we were waiting for dinner I caught him looking through those picture things for kids… I love my grandpa!!
It rarely fails that when me and Kyle go out that we don’t match, let me promise you we DO NOT plan it but almost every time we are matching. It’s kind of cute actually but we get a lot of slack for it, for instance Sunday night everyone kept saying “so are you guys taking engagement pictures…” They thought they were pretty funny!

Work…
So as everyone knows I do LOVE my job! Here are some reasons as to why I love my job:
- They have the same standards and values as I have
- They are a family oriented company
- They are so flexible with my schedule
- They let me work from home to spend more time with Noah
- I get to work with so many different people and a lot of whom are located in the Philippines. Which if anyone knows these people are amazing!
- My bosses continue to make me want to become a better person and really challenge me and push me to reach my full potential.
- I love the people I work with and get to stay in contact with.
I know there are many more reasons as to why I love Focus however these are just a couple. You probably are wondering why I’m posting about work well let me just tell you. I am currently working right now but not in Utah… I’m actually in LA! Yep that’s right in warm sunny California, oh wait except it’s not warm! Really? The one time I come to LA the weather is about 50’s maybe 60’s… not bad weather but definitely not what I expected for Cali weather.

My work tried to find someone else to go but no one could go and so I needed to be here for this new client launch. Left Monday November 15th, 2010 in the AM and will fly back tomorrow night in the PM. I will travel for work if they need me to, but I don’t ever choose to because of Noah! I don’t like to be away from him and really haven’t been except for a couple of overnight things since he was born. This was a HUGE adjustment for me! He’s having a blast and probably doesn’t even realize that I’ve been gone this long but me on the other hand am missing him more and more with every second that goes by. So LA is well LA, very very different from Utah!
The first couple of days I didn’t do anything because for one I was by myself and second I’m taking Taxi’s everywhere and yes they are SCARY! =) Well anyways I was just basically working, working and working some more and really missing Noah, when I find out that Kyle is surprising me by flying out to LA for the weekend, his brother and sister in law are going to school at USC so we would get to hang out with them too. I was really excited to see him and to actually get out and see LA. He flew in Thursday night and I took a taxi down to pick him up at the Long Beach airport, after an hour and twenty minutes I finally arrived. I tell you what I do like California but the traffic itself would make me stay away. We were able to do quite a bit and didn’t even come close to seeing anything we wanted to see. I soon fell in love with this little girl Hannah (Kyle’s niece). Kyle left to fly back last night and I will be flying home tomorrow night and I am super excited to be able to hold my little guy again… Really it makes me so grateful for family to watch Noah and really makes me grateful for every second of every day I get to spend with my little guy! Trust me next time he’s coming with and no exceptions!

This is by far my longest post ever, it’s FOREVER long! Hopefully next time it won’t be as long because I’ll actually post real time rather then playing catch up! ;)
